About me
I believe living a healthy lifestyle begins with maintaining a strong and fit body. My aim is to help you identify your fitness goals, design an exercise program that fits your needs and guide you through every nutritional choice. My holistic approach to fitness and health will have you feeling great and seeing results in no time.
Personal Training

The health, fitness and wellness industry can be confusing at times. All you want to do is get to your goal. But one person tells you to do it one way, a piece of research says to do it another way, and you just don't know what to do.
In my opinion one thing is for sure; there are many roads that lead to where you want to be and there's not necessarily a right and wrong way. You will get there, but is it the most efficient way?
This is where I come in. We will have a good chat about what you are looking to achieve, what your lifestyle choices are now and where can we improve. You will have a bespoke plan, which we will implement together, you will have the confidence and feel comfortable that you are on the correct path for you.
Working together on your nutrition, whether it be vegan/vegetarian, low fat, low carb/ketogenic, we will design a diet to fit in with your lifestyle choices and turn your body into a fat burning, muscle building machine.
We will design a training programme to strengthen you in body and provide you with resilience and strategies for coping with the day to day stresses of daily living. We will work on your core to improve back conditions, we will improve your posture, muscle tone, rehab and strengthen from injuries, help control blood pressure, diabetes, reduce stress and help you sleep better.
Nutrition

Contrary to popular belief there is not one diet that fits all.
If you suffer from an immune disease such as Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis or MS you might be better off on a Paleo style diet to reduce inflammation, if you suffer from diabetes a low carb/low GI diet would enable you to control blood sugars better. For ethical/environmental reasons you might prefer to avoid animal products and live a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle, in my opinion all of these work.

The key is a well formulated and sourced diet that can reduce inflammation, blood sugars, blood pressure, body fat. All of which decreases your risk of diabetes, heart disease and stroke just to name a few and it doesn't have to be expensive!

You can be healthy on any of these ways of eating and I have worked with many people who choose different paths. We will have a look at your goals and lifestyle choices and choose the right way of eating for you.
Medical Conditions

With obesity, diabetes, blood pressure problems, mental health issues etc on the rise in adults and children if we don't suffer from an ailment, we all know someone who does.

I truly believe that many of our medical conditions can be influenced by lifestyle choices and have had many success stories in managing and improving these conditions.

Just take the example of diabetes. Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to several health issues from kidney damage, to loss of sight, removal of limbs and, worst case scenario, death. But by just controlling your blood sugar through diet and exercise you can avoid all of this without the aid of medication and, in my opinion, it is never too late to change your habits.
I have successfully trained many Type 2 Diabetics and controlled and reduced their blood sugars through diet & exercise and even reduced and, in some cases, stopped their dependency on injecting insulin. Even Type 1 Diabetics can reduce their dependence on insulin by controlling diet and exercising, meaning fewer injections.
This I believe is a win in anyone's eyes!
Online Coaching

With online coaching I can train you anywhere in the world! Start online coaching and get access to the Ford Fitness training & nutrition app.
It starts with a chat to get to know each other and for me to find out what your goals are. From there I will design a nutrition plan and training programmes for you to complete. With hundreds of video demos of the exercises you will always be training with good form. Scanning your food as you go or trying one of my suggested recipes, you will be eating food that is nutritious and more importantly food you enjoy!

We will keep in contact via the messaging service through the app or via text and once in a while over zoom to have a good catch up. You can also meet up with other clients through the social side of the app and motivate each other.
